Dan Megna is a commercial photographer and journalist, who over the past decade has focused much of his work within the world of aviation, specifically the civll helicopter industry throughout North America. As a commercial helicopter pilot for over twenty years, Dan discovered an exciting and creative nexus that existed between his flying, photography and writing. Over the years, Dan has created a portfolio of images, editorial projects and has produced over a dozen covers, for aviation publications worldwide. His nearly ten year relationship with the helicopter industry's most respected media source; MHM Publishing and their flagship publications Vertical & Vertical911, is perhaps most responsible for Dan's success. Commercial clients also count on Dan to provide images for corporate projects such as advertising and trade show needs, and many of his images have also been produced as large fine art prints for hanging displays in home and corporate settings. But Dan’s enthusiasm for photography ranges beyond aviation. He appreciates the opportunities and creative challenges that exists in most every project. He believes, in even a familiar, seemingly uninteresting venue, such as an office space or an industrial setting, there exists exciting potential to create incredible images. |
